Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd reserves the right not to fulfil orders received from under-age buyers. These terms of use determine the offer, acceptance of purchase orders, and shipping of products.

There are pages in the online store accessible to users who have not started the process of ordering a product.  These users agree to be subject to the terms of use to the extent that the terms may be applicable. Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd may decide not to process incomplete or incorrect orders; orders whose confirmation of payment is not received within 48 hours; and orders for products that are unavailable. In such cases, Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd will inform you by email that the order has not been processed and specify the reasons. Refunds will be issued for orders made for unavailable products.

However, the images and colours of products offered may not accurately reflect reality due to the specific characteristics of the buyer’s browser or screen. Prices of products for sale in mayjoytheperfumer.com always appear in one of the currency: euros (€), sterling (£) or US dollar ($) and the VAT is included, except for the non-EU countries. In that case, these orders will be VAT exempt, subject to the application of the relevant taxes and custom duties pursuant to the prevailing rules and regulations. The applicable shipping costs will be added to these prices. Shipping costs will be communicated to you before checkout and must be accepted by you when confirming the purchase. Product prices may be updated at any time. You must check the final selling price before confirming your order. In accordance with international law governing commerce, mayjoytheperfumer.com ships products from the UK or Italy with an official English invoice stating the exact total for the goods purchased in euros (€), sterling (£) or US dollar ($). Shipping rates may vary depending on promotions that mayjoytheperfumer.com may offer at a given time or changes in rates charged by shipping companies.

 

Method of payment

When you purchase a product on the website, you agree to pay in full at the time your purchase is confirmed. Payment for products and shipping may be made by PayPal system with or without account as specified below:

Order information will always be encrypted through a secure server. Bank data from credit card transactions will be transmitted employing a secure protocol as used by Barclays Bank PLC or other banks that provide services for remote electronic payment – and no third parties will have access to any information. Such data will only be used by Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd to complete the purchase procedures, issue appropriate refunds for any returns, and warn and inform the authorities if possible fraud is detected by mayjoytheperfumer.com. The purchase price of the products and shipping charges are debited from the current account of the user when orders are confirmed. Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd will send the user an email confirmation of the purchase that includes an order number. This confirmation is valid as proof of purchase and is not an invoice. An invoice for the purchase order will be available at the mayjoytheperfumer.com website.

 

Delivery

Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd undertakes to deliver the goods in perfect condition to the address given on the order form. To facilitate deliveries, we recommend that you indicate an address where the order can be delivered during normal business hours. Orders are processed for delivery on working days only (Monday through Friday, excluding Bank Holidays).  All orders require a signature upon delivery. If you are not there to sign for your order, our delivery company will leave a telephone number for you to call to make alternative arrangements. To ensure secure and undamaged delivery of your order, our delivery company will not be able to leave your order 'hidden' at the address.

We will take all reasonable care to deliver to the address given. However, we will not be liable for non-delivery or misdelivery as a result of incorrect data entry.  The legal maximum period for delivery is 30 days; however, deliveries will usually take place between 1 - 6 working days maximum after confirmation of the purchase order, depending on the chosen delivery method: standard or express. This time corresponds to the time taken to prepare your order at our depot (destocking, checking, preparation of the package, packing, labelling etc.).  These transit times are estimated for main cities, not being considered the delays due to residential locations or outskirt areas. The same applies to delays caused by national customs. Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd is accountable for all shipping costs (incl. export/import tariffs and duties), except for those which are to be covered by the customer due to local customs requirements.

In the event of delivery delays attributable to Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd, you may cancel the order according to the procedure described in ‘Returns’ in the same way as a defective delivery – but without incurring shipping costs. Instances will not be considered as late deliveries where the order has been made available to the buyer by the shipping company within the agreed time and the buyer was unable to receive the order for reasons attributable to the buyer.  Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd is not responsible for any delays caused by national customs services, as well as additional costs originated at the national customs. Deliveries will be made with all export/import duties and taxes included, except for those countries where the national customs only accept the dispatch of goods covered by the buyer. In that case, Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd will proceed to the return of the goods if the buyer does not cover the expenses demanded by the customs authorities. A refund will be made by Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd within 14 days of return of the purchase order.

Upon delivery of the order, you must check the conformity and the status of your package in the presence of the carrier and notice all relevant concerns about apparent defects (missing product, damaged package). If you're not at home when the delivery arrives, an attempted delivery notification will be put through your letterbox. This notification will indicate the date and time of the attempted delivery, together with the post office where you can collect your package. If after seven working days of attempted delivery, the delivery has not been arranged, you must contact Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd. If you do not do so, then ten days after the first attempted delivery, the order will be returned to Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd, and you will be responsible for the return shipping costs and any associated management costs. On delivery, you must check the condition of the packaging and indicate on the delivery note from the shipping company any visible damage or irregularities. If subsequently, after examining the product, you detect any breakage or damage caused during shipping, please inform Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd by email as soon as possible so that a return can be processed.

 

Guarantee

All products offered on mayjoytheperfumer.com are 100% authentic. Defects or damage caused by incorrect use or handling, or wear caused by abnormal use, are not included under this guarantee.

 

Returns and  exchanges

We hope that you love what you have ordered, but if for some reason you do not we have set out below a summary of your rights in the event that you wish to return a product.  As you are a consumer and have made an order on-line you may, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, cancel your order and obtain a refund (or exchange) within 14 working days from delivery.  Except for legitimate reasons, any claim beyond this period will be considered inadmissible. For this purpose, please send an email to info@mayjoytheperfumer.com specifying the reason for the return. Once confirmation is sent, the mayjoytheperfumer.com team will send a return form which must be included in the returned package. Unless the goods are faulty, you will be required to arrange and pay for the cost of returning them to us in its original packaging.  Please ensure you obtain a proof of postage when you do so (in case you need to show you have returned the goods, in the unlikely event that we do not receive the returned parcel). Customers wishing to return fragrance items should have regard to any labelling and packaging guidelines produced by Royal Mail or any other courier that is used.

Following an authorised return of goods, the payment card that you used to pay for the order will be refunded within 14 days of the date that the package is returned, provided that you have returned the goods to us within 14 working days of delivery to you or your notifying us of cancellation.  For a return to be accepted, the following conditions must be met:  1. Send back the item in its entirety and in its original packaging. Only items returned in their original state will be accepted and refunded. 2. Attach a return form completed and a copy of your invoice to the package. 3.  Return to the following address:  Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd, 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9JQ London (United Kingdom).   Providing the above points are satisfied, Mayjoy The Perfumer Ltd will make a refund for returned products. Any charges made by national customs services will not be reimbursed in accordance with customs legislation.

In addition to the rights described above (and in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015), if the goods you receive are damaged or faulty, or not what you originally ordered we will be happy to exchange the items or offer you a refund.  If the return is due to an error on our part, please contact customer service which will send a prepaid label on the condition of proof. If your product does not satisfy you, return costs are your responsibility.
